[24/1/26] Chinatown

Last Sunday, my family and I decided to pay #Chinatown a visit since Chinese New Year is just around the corner. It has been many many years since we last visited Chinatown. Probably more than 6 years since we last visited Chinatown?

Anyway, back to the topic. We first arrived near Telok Ayer street where there were a number of high rise office building before we made our way to Chinatown. Along the way, we passed by rows of beautiful traditional shop houses which they are taken over by pubs and cafe. Kind of regretted not taking photos of them as I initially felt awkward that many tourists were using DSLR to take pictures while I do not have one.

By the time I reached Chinatown, I have already muster up my courage to use my phone to take pictures. This is the view when we first arrived Chinatown. The shop house painted in red is the Nanyang Old Coffee and beside it is a row of street stalls that sells food.

We headed to the street market to grab more decorations for #cny and was greeted by this beautiful temple. When I first saw it, it reminded me of the old Chinese or Korean palace that I saw on Koran dramas.

This year, this is how the street market looked like.

Had dinner at the street market.

Visited the Nanyang Old Coffee shop and there is an area of the shop that displays #antique stuff.

Glass bottles of 7 UP, Coke, etc.

We decided to had some coffee and Milo before we headed for home.

The menu of what they sells.
